MAKING OF – KISSING CAMELS SHIRT
Camels have played an important role in the history and culture of Jordan. The Bedouins – a nomadic group of people who have lived in the region for thousands of years – have traditionally relied on camels for transportation, food, and shelter.
In some remote areas, such as the Wadi Rum desert, where modern transportation is limited, Bedouins still use camels for transportation and to carry goods.
Based on this, our in-house design team developed a sketch which was then turned into an embroidery design and stitched onto finest cotton to create the Said Shirt. It is a key piece in this collection and our way to pay homage to the history and cultural heritage of Jordan.
