A Kind of Guise is a German brand that offers a wide range of menswear, womenswear and accessories. Besides our seasonal collection, which is released twice a year, we also provide never-out-of-stock products for your daily wardrobe.
Our design is contemporary yet timeless, classy yet functional. We only use carefully selected high-quality fabrics and manufacture as local as possible. This means that most of our products are made in Germany and some pieces in Italy.
Globally stocked in around 80 boutiques and department stores as well as in our own retail outposts, you can convince yourself of our outstanding quality and service.
Come in and say hello and as always, stay classy!

A Kind of Guise first began as a small project to create a range of timeless and enduring fashion pieces. Central to the project was the marriage of modern tailoring techniques, premium German craftsmanship and the highest-quality materials.
Initially produced in limited numbers, this strong and uncompromising commitment to high-quality materials and production values has earned A Kind of Guise a growing and devoted following; a following which has helped us to build the brand each season. And this growth has given us the luxury to experiment with new materials and techniques and become evermore adventurous with our collections.

Since our first line hit stores in 2009, we have experimented with a broad spectrum of high-quality wools, cashmeres, silks, tweeds, blends and even teddy bear furs. Our previous collections have included fabrics such as Scottish Harris Tweed, Swiss EtaProof® cotton, Austrian Loden-Steiner wool, Steiff® furs, luxurious Japanese silks and many more.
We only use ethically produced materials, most commonly sourced from Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Our use of these enduring and luxurious fabrics is just one reason why our clothes feel and look so good on you.

In our short history, we have had the good fortune to forge strong relationships with no less than 16 small- and medium-sized specialist manufacturers in and around Germany. Our manufacturing partners are carefully chosen for their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship in their field and their strong skill bases that have been, in some cases, honed over centuries of operation. Still today, the majority of our products are made in Germany, while the rest is made in Italy.
We appreciate the fact that all of them share our belief in keeping up the tradition of locally made quality products. Immediate face-to-face communication, reliability in experienced craftsmanship and close distances not only make us feel proud of what we do but also bring joy to every day we start anew.
