When we closed our first store last year, we felt that it no longer represented where we stood as a brand or the direction we aspired to grow. Now, we’ve created a new brick-and-mortar location that encapsulates the qualities our community appreciates most about us. It’s a harmonious blend of craftsmanship, design, and attention to detail, showcasing locally sourced, high-quality materials like Swiss pearwood and European oak, complemented by Rosso Alicante and Emperador Dark marble from Spain. The design strikes a perfect balance between timeless elegance and a modern twist, featuring large wooden panels and interchangeable ceiling tiles, all enhanced by carefully curated lighting.

For the ceiling tiles, we chose greenhouse sheeting foiled with a soft pink hue, creating a subtle yet striking visual effect.

As always, we’ve paid special attention to the details that resonate with our AKOG community. The oak-lined fitting rooms are equipped with lighting that mimics natural daylight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A standout feature of the store is the 800L freshwater aquarium, nestled between two spacious fitting rooms and filled with vibrant Malawi cichlids — a unique focal point that brings a serene touch to the shopping experience.

Our four expansive windows, equipped with automatic vertical lamella blinds, can be adjusted to provide complete privacy or transformed into sleek, minimal display spaces.

This new store marks an exciting chapter in the evolution of A KIND OF GUISE, and it feels especially meaningful to embark on this journey in our hometown of Munich. While we’ve come a long way, the journey is just beginning, and we’re excited to continue sharing it with you.
