SS26 SOUVENIR SHOP - KENYA
SS26 SOUVENIR SHOP - KENYA
Our recurring non-profit project, Souvenir Shop, embodies our passion for culture and craftsmanship. Since 2022, this initiative has brought back products from our travels, highlighting the distinctive culture and skills of the communities we visit. We source these items from local markets, small companies, communities, and artisans, showcasing the rich heritage and expertise of their makers.
All profits from our SS26 souvenir shop will be handed directly to the Maisha Madrugada foundation to support their menstrual education program in Kenya.
During our SS26 journey through Kenya, we decided to support the Maisha Madrugada Foundation with all profits of every sale from our SS26 souvenir shop.
We met the Tiwi Turtle Police, a project run by the foundation. The work is remarkable, the kind of conservation effort that would make Sir David Attenborough smile. It's about protecting the sea turtles that travel thousands of kilometers across oceans, only to return decades later to the exact same beach where they hatched.
Yet what moved us most was meeting the people behind the foundation. Beyond their vital work in animal conservation, they are dedicated to building empowering educational initiatives for local communities.
Over chai, we asked what they needed most right now. Their answer was clear: support for their menstrual education program.
Over 700 menstrual cups already distributed to schools and youth centers. Awareness workshops breaking the stigma that keeps girls out of classrooms. World Menstruation Day celebrated just this year. But they need more cups, more workshops and more reach,
Every souvenir tells a story, but thanks to you, this one also helps write a new chapter of dignity, education, and hope for girls in Kenya.
