AW18: Kala Patthar
A Kind Of Guise has just released their Autumn/Winter collection for 2018/19. This season, the Munich-based brand has headed to the Himalayan steppes to draw inspiration from its humble yet hardy inhabitants for the aptly titled ‘Kala Patthar’ range. Featuring an extensive array of well-crafted fabrics including 100% yak, Mongolian cashmere, high quality Italian silks and super fine virgin wool, this season stays true to A Kind of Guise’s history of using bold, bespoke patterns, prints, textures and materials.
Some highlights to look forward to from the new collection include: a beautifully textured embroidered tulip shirt; bold prints on silk and seersucker shirts; t-shirts made from high-quality German velvet; soft lambswool jackets and jumpers; a new take on the returning kimono-esque Kohaku cardigan; a full length coat made from 100% Steiff teddy bear wool; a resplendent purple suede jacket and a range of well-cut tracksuits made from 100% super fine virgin wool.
This season marks yet another chapter in the A Kind of Guise tradition of focusing collections around one particular cultural destination and building a modern and respectful interpretation of its sartorial heritage. And as always, everything that bears the A Kind of Guise label continues to made with care in Germany using only the best materials.
